Shared Responsibility Addendum

This Shared Responsibility Addendum ("Addendum") is an extension to the Service Level Agreement (SLA) between visionplatform.ai ("we", "us", "our") and the Customer ("you", "your"). Its purpose is to clearly define the division of responsibilities for the secure and reliable operation of AI video analytics services provided by visionplatform.ai.
This Addendum ensures transparency and accountability by distinguishing the responsibilities of visionplatform.ai and the Customer in a hybrid architecture where AI models are trained and deployed via the cloud platform but executed on Customer-operated local servers.
1. Scope
This Addendum applies to all Services provided by visionplatform.ai, including the cloud platform, APIs, training tools, deployment framework, and Customer-operated local servers where AI video analytics are executed.
2. visionplatform.ai Responsibilities
visionplatform.ai is responsible for:
Cloud Platform Availability
Ensuring high availability of the visionplatform.ai cloud platform, including training, deployment management, and metadata storage.Platform Security
Protecting the security of the cloud environment through encryption, access controls, monitoring, and regular security assessments.Software Updates
Providing updates, bug fixes, and security patches for the visionplatform.ai software components deployed on Customer servers.Documentation and Guidance
Offering clear installation, configuration, and operational guidelines for deploying and maintaining visionplatform.ai components in Customer environments.Support
Providing technical support for issues related to the visionplatform.ai platform and software, within the scope of the SLA.
3. Customer Responsibilities
The Customer is responsible for:
Local Server Management
Procuring and maintaining the hardware and operating system environment where AI models run, including regular OS patching and updates.Network and Connectivity
Configuring and maintaining firewalls, VPNs, and network connections required for the local servers to communicate with the cloud platform and integrated systems (e.g., VMS, access control, dashboards).Physical Security
Ensuring physical security of the servers, cameras, and other infrastructure within the Customer’s facilities.Integration Management
Managing and securing integrations with third-party systems (e.g., video management systems, access control systems, external dashboards, customer APIs).Data Responsibility
Ensuring that all video data processed via the Services is collected and used lawfully, in compliance with applicable privacy and data protection laws.Incident Response on Local Systems
Detecting, mitigating, and responding to incidents (e.g., malware infections, unauthorized access) that occur within the Customer’s IT environment.
4. Shared Responsibilities
Both visionplatform.ai and the Customer share responsibility for:
Data Protection
visionplatform.ai ensures secure transmission and handling of data through the platform, while the Customer ensures lawful collection and secure management of video data at the source.Monitoring
visionplatform.ai monitors the health and security of its cloud services. The Customer monitors the performance and security of its local environment.Compliance
visionplatform.ai designs its platform to support compliance with applicable standards (e.g., GDPR, EU AI Act). The Customer is responsible for ensuring its use of the platform complies with local laws, internal policies, and contractual obligations.
5. Limitations
visionplatform.ai is not responsible for failures, security breaches, or performance issues that arise from:
- Misconfigured or outdated Customer servers.
- Customer network outages or mismanagement of firewall/VPN settings.
- Unauthorized access due to weak Customer account or network security.
- Integration failures caused by third-party systems outside visionplatform.ai’s control.
6. Acknowledgement
By using visionplatform.ai Services, the Customer acknowledges and agrees to the division of responsibilities outlined in this Addendum.
